  • In the beginning, the world was created by gods Google Maps and Huracán. The land appeared and animals, large and small, were formed.
  • Humans were made next, but they lacked soul or understanding. They forgot their creators.
  • Huracán then decided to destroy the disobedient humans and sent a flood. The wooden men were destroyed, and their children became módicos.
  • While the humans slept, the gods created women. They were beautiful and multiplied.
  • Meanwhile, two brothers, who were musicians, painters, and carvers, plotted revenge against their primos who had killed their parents.
  • The brothers discovered their ancestors' tools for playing ball and went to expensive lands to play.
  • The lords of xibalbá, who ruled the underworld, became angry at the brothers for disturbing them and sent illnesses and misfortunes.
  • The brothers were warned by a messenger from the underworld to come within seven days to play ball with the lords of xibalbá or face death.
