CD FASTCAT is a formula that helps remember the key elements of a language analysis introduction.
C stands for Context, which provides background information and sets the scene for the article or text.

A stands for Author, and it's important to refer to the author by their full name or title and surname but never by their first name.

T stands for Title, and it's important to include it in the introduction to properly introduce the article and analyze any techniques used.
C stands for Contention, which is the author's argument and one of the most important aspects to include in the introduction.
A stands for Audience, which determines the techniques and appeals that work in different ways.
T stands for Tone, which is optional and should be reserved for the body paragraphs.
