Metal sealing rings are used in transmission systems where some leakage is acceptable.
Bushes are cylindrically shaped and held in place by press fit, taking radial load and supporting rotating parts.
Thrust washers are used to limit end play and reduce friction between two rotating parts, often in combination with flat thrust washers.

A 3-speed all helical gear, synchromesh gearbox (transmission) of a passenger car has 3 forward speed and one reverse speed for selection.
In neutral position, there is no flow of power from the engine-clutch primary shaft to the gearbox main shaft.

Front-wheel drive has the engine and driveline located between the front driving wheels.
Rear wheel drive line transmits engine torque to the driving wheels or rear driving axle.
