Ludwig van Beethoven Biography
- Born in Bonn, Germany in 1770
- His father was a musician who forced him to practice piano.
- At age seven, he gave his first recital
- At 17, he traveled to Vienna to meet Mozart but returned to Bonn due to his mother's illness.
- In 1792, Haydn invited him to Vienna where he established himself as a composer and virtuoso
- Experienced hearing problems which worsened to deafness by 1801
- Composed Moonlight Sonata in 1801
- Premiered 9th Symphony in 1824
- Died in Vienna at age 57 in 1827 where 20,000 people attended his funeral procession.
