Lottery Schemes
- A provincial government, alone or with another province, can conduct and manage a lottery scheme in that province, as long as it is in accordance with the province's laws.
- Charitable or religious organizations can conduct and manage a lottery scheme in a province if they have a licence issued by the Lieutenant Governor in Council of the province, and the proceeds are used for a charitable or religious purpose.
- A fair or exhibition board, or an operator of a concession leased by that board, can conduct and manage a lottery scheme in a province if they have a licence issued by the Lieutenant Governor in Council of the province, and the scheme is conducted at the fair or exhibition.
- Any person can conduct and manage a lottery scheme at a public place of amusement in a province if they have a licence issued by the Lieutenant Governor in Council of the province, the prize value does not exceed $500, and the cost to participate does not exceed $2.
