- Liturgy and worship are transformational, taking us on a journey from the start to the end.

- Special services like Easter Sunday, Christmas Morning, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Advent Sunday Evening services have a different flow, either continually upwards towards jubilation or towards quiet contemplation and reflection.
Service of the Word from Common Worship
- A Service of the Word should contain the following elements: Preparation, liturgy of the Word, Dismissal.
- Required elements: Gathering sentences, a reading, prayers of intercession, and a clear ending.
- If used, the confession, absolution, Collect, and Lord's Prayer must be authorised.
- Any absolution or blessing, unless said by a Priest, must contain the word 'May'.
