  • Swine are considered unclean; they have cloven hooves but do not chew the cud. Their carcasses should not be touched (v7-8).
  • Aquatic creatures eligible for consumption must possess fins and scales, whether from seas or rivers (v9).
  • Any sea or river creature without fins and scales is deemed an abomination (v11).
