- The polar climate is located in cold areas between 60o and 90o latitude, north and south.
- Temperatures are below 0oC and precipitation is very low and usually in the form of snow.
- A high mountain climate is found in areas above 2500 metres, with temperatures low all year and rain falling in the form of snow.
