- If no traffic passes behind the seated diner, allow at least 32 inches from the counter/table edge to any obstruction.

- If traffic passes behind the seated diner, allow at least 44 inches to walk past.
- If traffic passes behind the seated diner, plan a minimum of 60 inches to allow passage for someone in a wheelchair.

- For counters or tables 30 inches high, provide at least 24 inches of width and 18 inches of knee space depth.
