Karya Aajivika

This scheme was launched on March 31st, 2017 and operates under the Skill India mission, with the goal of addressing unemployment issues faced by various groups including women, youth, senior citizens, ex-servicemen, differently abled individuals, and others who have difficulty finding work despite possessing technical abilities.

Under this initiative, funding from different sources like CSR funds, Public Private Partnership model, project grants, etc., is utilized to improve employability standards across sectors such as garment making, automobile manufacturing, hospitality & tourism, retail management, banking services, marketing, software testing, hardware maintenance, and security services.

Skill Development and Vocational Training Opportunities

Both Karya Aajivika and Jivika heavily emphasize on skilling and capacity building, thereby enhancing productivity, competitiveness, and market responsiveness. They aim to improve individual employability and make workers more effective in their roles while reducing dependence on formal education alone. Through intensive trainings, workshops, and seminars focused on specific job areas, participants learn relevant technical and soft skills that enable them to perform well within organized sector jobs or start their own ventures.

Income Generation Projects

A significant component of both programs involves income generation activities. Under Karya Aajivika, community members participate in various income generating projects like poultry farming, dairy farming, goat rearing, mushroom cultivation, and fish farming, amongst other options tailored according to local resources availability and demand. These activities serve two purposes - they ensure regular source of income for families involved and simultaneously contribute to agricultural diversification efforts at large scale.
