Karmabai's Devotion to Lord Krishna
- Karmabai was born in 1615 to Jiwanji Dudi in Kalwa village, Nagaur, Rajasthan, and was instilled with devotion to Lord Krishna from a young age through her parents' stories and bhajans.
- She found joy in performing daily rituals, singing praises, and preparing prasad (offering) for Lord Krishna.
- Jiwanji instructed Karmabai to prepare and offer food to Krishna every morning and take care of their home, warning her to eat only after Krishna had partaken of the offering.
The Story of Khichdi
- Karmabai prepared khichdi (a dish of rice and lentils) with Gudd (Jaggery) and ghee for Krishna, but the bhogg remained untouched, leading her to stay hungry.
