Founding and Early History

Beta Gamma chapter of Kappa Sigma was founded in 1898 at the University of Missouri.
The chapter originally resided at 110 E Stewart Road.
In the late 1980s, the chapter's charter was revoked.
The chapter was rechartered in the late 1990s.

Recent Developments and Rechartering

The chapter was revoked by nationals in 2018.
44 students at Mizzou revived the chapter in 2019.
The colony experienced fluctuating membership in 2019 and during the pandemic.
On November 7, 2020, the Beta Gamma chapter was recharted with 56 members.

Leadership and Governance

Founding Executive Council included: Charles Anthony Lanasa (Grand Master), Kade Austin Stowell (Grand Procurator), Mathew Rylands Salcena (Grandmaster of Ceremonies), Camden Mitchell Stuart (Grand Scribe), and Ryan Fahey Clark (Grand Treasurer).
Notable Grand Masters include Ryan Clark (2021), Luke Price (2021), Caleb Cowen (2022), Ben Wieselman (2023), and Robert Wendling (2024).

Purpose and Vision

The fraternity strives to balance social enjoyment with academic success.
The chapter aims to improve Greek life at Mizzou.

The 404 Era

Ten pledge brothers moved into 404 University in 2019.
A fire damaged the driveway, forcing the chapter to relocate.
The chapter moved to a new address, continuing their mission.
