JROTC LET I Uniform Guidelines

Male cadets wear ribbons 1/8 inch above the left breast pocket.
Female nameplates are positioned 1 to 2 inches above the top button on the Class A coat.
Enlisted female JROTC Corps Insignia (torch of knowledge) is placed 5/8 inch above the "notch"; males position it 1 inch above.

Ribbons and Awards

The sixth highest JROTC ribbon is the Perfect Attendance ribbon.

Hair must not touch the ears, eyebrows, or collar, with sideburns not extending below the bottom of the ear opening.
Hair must present a tapered appearance, avoiding excessive length or bulk.

Uniform Components and Maintenance

The Army Service Uniform (ASU) requires a black tie and neck tab.
Class B uniform does not include an ASU coat or tie/neck tab and is appropriate for warmer weather.
Only authorized socks should be worn, with no other colors or designs allowed.
