Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple

• Jesus predicts that the temple in Jerusalem will be destroyed, with not one stone left upon another.
• He says this to His disciples, who had been admiring the temple's buildings.

The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

• The disciples ask Jesus about the signs of His coming and the end of the age.
• Jesus warns them about false Christs and false prophets who will deceive many.
• He says that there will be wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes, but these are only the beginning of sorrows.

The Parable of the Fig Tree

• Jesus says that they should learn from the fig tree, which becomes tender and puts forth leaves, indicating that summer is near.

No One Knows the Day or Hour

• Jesus says that no one knows the day or hour of His coming, not even the angels of heaven, but only His Father.
• He says that His coming will be like the days of Noah, when people were eating, drinking, and marrying, but were not aware of the flood that came and took them all away.

The Faithful Servant and the Evil Servant

• Jesus says that when He comes in His glory, He will sit on the throne of His glory, and all the nations will be gathered before Him.
• He says that He will separate the sheep from the goats, and the righteous will inherit the kingdom prepared for them.
• He says that the righteous will be rewarded because they helped Him when He was hungry, thirsty, a stranger, naked, sick, and in prison.
• He says that the wicked will be punished because they did not help Him when He was in need.
