Birth And Early Life
- Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in the Roman province of Judea, around 4 BC
- He was born to Mary, a virgin, through the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:26-38)
- Jesus was visited by wise men, also known as Magi, who brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Matthew 2:1-12)
- Jesus' family fled to Egypt to escape King Herod's attempt to kill him (Matthew 2:13-15)
- After Herod's death, Jesus' family returned to Nazareth, where he grew up (Matthew 2:19-23, Luke 2:39-40)
Ministry In Galilee
- Jesus began his public ministry in Galilee, after being baptized by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:13-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22)
