Study Notes

Maximum marks: 300.
Three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, each containing 30 questions.
Each subject divided into two sections:
- Section-I: 20 multiple choice questions (MCQs) with one correct answer.
  - Marking scheme: +4 for correct answers, 0 for unattempted, -1 for incorrect answers.
- Section-II: 10 Numerical Value Type questions; candidates must attempt only 5.
  - Answers must be whole numbers (0-9999); decimal answers rounded to nearest integer.

Fill in the Admission number with blue/black ballpoint pen only.
Do not write the Admission number anywhere other than the specified area.
Rough work must be done only in the space provided in the Test Booklet.
Candidates must submit Answer Sheets to the invigilator but may keep the Test Booklet.
Use of electronic devices, textual materials, or mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the hall.

Key topics:
- Law of gravitation and gravitational potential.
- Motion of planets and satellites, escape velocity, and geostationary orbits.
- Understanding of Kepler's laws.

Focus on Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers:
- Properties and reactions of alcohols including esterification and dehydration.
- Key reactions involve sodium, phosphorus halides, and thionyl chloride.
- Important reactions of phenols: electrophilic substitution, Reimer-Tiemann reaction, Kolbe reaction, and oxidation-reduction.
- Ethers: Preparation, properties, and reactions.

Candidates must not make stray marks on the Answer Sheet or fold it.
Ensure to bubble correctly when cancelling questions during the exam for accurate scoring.
