JAC Board Exam 2025: Dates & Schedule

• Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has released the program for the annual Secondary & Intermediate Arts, Science & Commerce Theory/Practical Examination, 2025.
• The notification number for this announcement is 48/2024.

Exam Dates

• The exams will commence on February 11, 2025.

Exam Timings

• Secondary exams (1st Sitting): 9:45 AM - 1:00 PM
• Intermediate exams (2nd Sitting): 2:00 PM - 5:15 PM

Exam Schedule

• February 11, 2025 (Tuesday): IIT & Other Vocational subjects (9:45 AM - 12:35 PM) for Secondary, Vocational Subjects for Intermediate (I.A., I.Sc. & I.Com.).
• February 13, 2025 (Thursday): Commerce/Home Science for Secondary, Compulsory Core Language Hindi 'A' & English 'A' for Intermediate (I.A.).
• February 14, 2025 (Friday): Kharia/Khortha/Kurmali/Nagpuri/Panch Pargania for Secondary, Compulsory Core Language Hindi 'A' & English 'A' Music for Intermediate (I.Sc. & I.Com.).
• February 15, 2025 (Saturday): Arabic/Persian/Ho/Mundari/Santhali/Oraon for Secondary, Elective Language (Compulsory) for Intermediate (I.A.).
• February 17, 2025 (Monday): Urdu/Bengali/Oriya for Secondary, Additional Language for Intermediate (I.Sc. & I.Com.).
• February 18, 2025 (Tuesday): Hindi (Course A & Course B) for Secondary, Compulsory Core Language Hindi 'B' + Matribhasha for Intermediate (I.A., I.Sc., I.Com.).
• February 19, 2025 (Wednesday): Music for Secondary, Economics for Intermediate (I.Sc. & I.Com.).
• February 20, 2025 (Thursday): Science for Secondary, Anthropology for Intermediate (I.A.).
• February 21, 2025 (Friday): No exam listed for Secondary, Mathematics/Statistics for Intermediate (I.A., I.Sc., I.Com.).
• February 22, 2025 (Saturday): Sanskrit for Secondary, Economics for Intermediate (I.A.).

Important Notes for Intermediate Exams

• For non-language subjects, answer booklets written in Devanagari/Roman/Bangla/Urdu/Oriya scripts will be accepted.
• On February 17, 2025, for the HNB – MB subject, students must use two separate plain answer books.
• The serial numbers of both answer books must be recorded in the attendance sheet.
• Only one answer book should be used for the Biology subject.
• Examinees will get an extra 15 minutes to read the question paper to reduce exam stress.

Other Instructions

• The annual Secondary and Intermediate examinations for 2025 will be conducted using answer booklets.
• Secondary exams will use question-cum-answer booklets while Intermediate exams will use answer booklets.
• Secondary exams are from February 11, 2025, to March 3, 2025, in the first shift, and Intermediate exams are from February 11, 2025, to March 3, 2025, in the second shift.
• Admit cards for the Secondary exam will be available for download from January 25, 2025, and for the Intermediate exam from January 28, 2025, on the JAC website (www.jac.jharkhand.gov.in/jac).
• School/college principals must download and distribute the admit cards to the concerned examinees.
• Attendance sheets, roll sheets, and other exam-related documents for the Secondary and Intermediate exams will be distributed from the District Education Officer's office starting February 5, 2025.
• Principals and center superintendents are requested to collect the materials from the designated location.
• Practical exams for Secondary schools are to be conducted by the respective schools from March 4, 2025, to March 20, 2025.
• School principals must collect the practical exam question papers from the District Education Officer's office between February 28, 2025, and March 3, 2025.
• Schools are responsible for arranging the answer booklets for practical exams.
• Practical exams for the Intermediate Science, Commerce, and Arts streams will be conducted from March 4, 2025, to March 20, 2025, in both shifts.
• Materials related to Intermediate practical exams will be available from February 27, 2025, to March 1, 2025.
• Schools/colleges will upload the marks for practical and internal assessments for the Secondary and Intermediate exams online via the JAC website (www.jac.jharkhand.gov.in/jac).
• Guidelines for this process are available on the website.

Schedule for Uploading Marks

• For Secondary exams: March 5, 2025, to March 21, 2025
• For Intermediate exams: March 5, 2025, to March 21, 2025
• Principals must ensure the online uploading of marks for practical and internal assessments as per the guidelines.
• A copy of the consolidated list should be kept by the principal and another submitted to the District Education Officer's office.
• Schools/colleges will be responsible for any errors in the online entries.
• The District Education Officer should ensure that the consolidated list is received by the Council office.

Important Notes

• Documents or papers related to practical exams sent by post or courier will not be accepted.
• Students absent for practical exams will not be given any further opportunity to appear and will be marked as absent.
• Online entry of marks for practical exams and internal assessments must be done on time.
• No representation will be considered after the set deadline, and marks received offline will not be accepted.
• The results of students will be affected if online entry of marks is not done, and the responsibility lies with the school/college principal.
• The notification is forwarded to RDS Marketing and Advertising Group, Ranchi, with directions to ensure publication of the attached notification in Prabhat Khabar Jharkhand, Dainik Bhaskar Jharkhand, Dainik Jagran Jharkhand, and Hindustan Jharkhand with appropriate sizing in the upcoming edition of December 17, 2024.
• Two copies of the payment bill are to be sent at prescribed DAVP rates to the Council office after publication.
• The Senior Information Technology Officer, Jharkhand Academic Council, is directed to ensure that the attached notification is uploaded to the Council's website.
