Ritual of Wadu (Ablution)
- Wadu is a cleansing ritual required before prayers in Islam.
- Steps include: wet palms moved over the forehead to neck, rubbing fingers into ear grooves, and passing thumbs behind the ears.
- The nape is also washed using the backs of the hands.
- Feet must be washed up to the ankles, ensuring water reaches between the toes.
Conditions for Fresh Wadu
- Fresh Wadu must be performed after:
- Natural discharges (blood, pus)
- Vomiting
- Falling asleep
- Emphasizes practicality in Islam, allowing for cleanliness even in water-scarce environments.
Dry Wadu (Tayammum)
- Tayammum is permitted when:
- Water is unavailable
- Illness prevents the use of water
- Using water is harmful for any reason
- Procedure includes:
- Placing hands on earth or dust-affected surfaces.
- Blowing off dust and wiping the face.
- Wiping arms up to the elbows in a similar fashion.
Witr and Tahajjud Prayers
- Witr prayer consists of three RAKAH after 'Isha and is considered WAJIB, regularly performed by the Prophet.
