Sources of Knowledge in Islam

The primary sources of Islamic knowledge are the Qur’an and Hadith.
Qur'an:

Hadith:

Defining Morality

Morality, derived from the Latin "moralitas", involves principles that distinguish right from wrong and good from bad behavior.
In Islam, morality integrates righteousness, good character, and adherence to the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Basic Principles of Islamic Morality

Islamic morality includes both positive commitments to fulfill and negative prescriptions to avoid.
Moral principles are designed to cultivate a sound mind, peaceful soul, strong personality, and healthy body.
Core obligations include:
- Bearing witness to the oneness of Allah and the messengership of Muhammad (pbuh).
- Observing daily prayers.
- Paying the alms (Zakat) as a form of charity.
- Fasting during the month of Ramadan.
- Performing pilgrimage to Makka at least once in a lifetime.
