Prophet Muhammad (PBUOH)
- Prophet Muhammad (PBUOH) was born on Monday, the twelfth of Rabi al-Awwal in the Year of the Elephant.
- His mother was Aminah bint Wahb.
- He was born in Mecca, Arabia.
- Signs from Allah are seen when one of His chosen Prophets is born.
- Prophet Muhammad (PBUOH) was named Muhammad which means praiseworthy.
- He worked as a shepherd and later as a merchant.
- He liked to be alone in the Hira' cave on Mount Hira' to meditate and think about the world.
Definition of Islam
- Islam is a monotheistic religion that originated in the Arabian Peninsula.
- Islam means “submission” and is an expression of surrender to the will of Allah.
- Muslims believe that Allah is the one true God with no partner or equal.
Pillars of Islam
- The Five Pillars of Islam:
- Testimony (Shahadah)
