Irena Sendler and the Warsaw Ghetto

A secret group called Zegota was formed to help Jews in Warsaw during WWII.
Irena Sendler, a social worker, smuggled babies out of the Ghetto by hiding them in suitcases, boxes, and body bags, and transporting them to safe locations.
The Jews who boarded the train out of the Warsaw Ghetto were sent to Treblinka extermination camp, where they were brutally killed.
