Introduction To Sociology
- Sociology is the study of human social life, groups, and societies.
- Sociology is a broad field of study that seeks to understand how humans interact and shape the world around them.
Course Information
- Exemptions with credit are available for students who have a Grade 1 or 2 in CAPE Unit 1 Sociology.
- Coursework assessments:
- Multiple choice quiz (20%)
- Oral presentation (10%)
- Final exam (70%)
Important Dates
- Tutorials begin Monday, September 16th, 2024.
- The multiple choice quiz will be taken through Myelearning and is due Thursday, November 14th, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 11:55 PM.
- Oral presentations and class attendance assessments will take place during tutorial sessions, with tutors marking both.

Class Guidelines
- Respect lecturers, tutors, and peers.
