Learning Outcomes
- Discuss the importance of studying and understanding information systems, its components, and its characteristics
- Identify the basic types of business information systems (TPS, MIS & DSS) and discuss who uses them, how they are used, and what kinds of benefits they deliver
- Identify and briefly describe the functions of the two basic kinds of software
Scope of the Assignment
- Individual assignment
- Select three types of systems used by the student
- Compare the three systems based on given criteria
- Perform data analysis and submit documentation (at least 600 words)
Plagiarism Policy
- Plagiarism is not limited to submitting work that includes production of other authors without properly acknowledging the original author(s)
- Using work of other person (paid or unpaid) and submitting it as own work is deemed plagiarism
- Text similarity above 20% is not acceptable and is considered plagiarism
Submission Instructions
- Use A4 size paper, Times New Roman 12 font size with single line spacing in text
- Use first page of assignment as cover page
- Submit soft copy of assignment through college portal and hard copy as per instructions of the course instructor
- Late submission is subjected to maximum deduction of 01 mark per delayed day
- Plagiarized work shall not be considered to award any marks
- Similarity ratio more than 20% marks as 0
