• Sensors detect changes in the environment and convert them into electrical signals, providing data to the automation system.
• Examples of sensors used in home automation include motion sensors, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, light sensors, and door/window sensors.
• Actuators perform physical actions based on commands from the automation system, such as light switches, motorized blinds or curtains, smart thermostats, smart locks, and smart outlets.
