Websites
- A website is a collection of web pages, related documents, and images stored on a web server.
- A web server delivers web pages when requested.
Browsing the Web
- A web browser allows users to view web pages.
- Common browsers include Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Google Chrome.
- To browse the web, a device connected to the internet is required.
Web Addresses
- Each web page has a unique address (URL or web address).
- URLs include a protocol (e.g., http://), a domain name, and sometimes a path to a specific page.
- http stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol, which governs how web pages transfer.
