International System of Units (SI)
- The SI, or decimal system of measurement, is used in pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry.
- It's built on seven base units:
- Length: meter (m)
- Mass: kilogram (kg)
- Time: seconds (s)
- Electric current: ampere (A)
- Temperature: kelvin (K)
- Amount of substance: mole (mol)

- To convert an SI unit to a smaller unit, move the decimal point one place to the right.
