Constituent Assembly
- First Sitting & Reassembly: The first sitting was on December 9, 1946, and reassembled on August 14, 1947 (based on partition).

- Member Selection: Members were chosen through indirect elections by members of Provincial Legislative assemblies (formed under the Government of India Act 1935).
