Speed Post
- Treat as content lost 30 days from booking or 30 days from complaint raised, whichever is later.
BNPL
- Minimum monthly revenue for eligibility as contractual customer at multiple locations is Rs. 1,00,000.
- Customers have to apply for availing BNPL facility with Divisional Head.

- WUMT Service of DOP is discontinued w.e.f 31st January 2024.
Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs)
- 440 POPSKs have been set up across the country as of July 2024.

Scented Stamp
- India released its first scented stamp in 2006.
Post Office Savings Joint Account (SB)
- Can be opened by three adults (Joint A or Joint B).
MIS
- A maximum of Rs. 9 lakhs can be deposited in a single account and Rs. 15 lakhs in a Joint account.
SCSS
- Investment to be made within 3 months of receipt of retirement benefits, subject to maximum limit up to Rs.30 lakh in all SCSS accounts opened by an individual.
- Premature Closure:
- Account can be prematurely closed at any time after date of opening.
- If account closed before 1 year, no interest will be payable, and if any interest paid in the account shall be recovered from the principle.
- If account closed after 1 year but before 2 years, an amount equal to 1.5% will be deducted from the principal amount.
- If account closed after 2 years but before 5 years, an amount equal to 1% will be deducted from the principal amount.
- Extended account can be closed after the expiry of one year from the date of extension of the account without any deduction.
TD
- A 5-year TD opened on or after 10.11.2023 cannot be closed until 4 years.
Chakshu Portal
- Launched to stop mobile phone-based scams; citizens can report suspected or unauthorized messages through calls, SMS, or WhatsApp.
Aerogramme
- Rate of an Aerogramme is Rs. 20/-
ANVIT Sewa
- A smart and digital parcel delivery system that provides OTP-based delivery of parcels without any cost.
- Currently available at Thane Head Post Office, Vashi Sub Post Office, and Infotech Park Sub Post Office, with upcoming expansions at prime locations.
India Post Partnerships

Indian Post Office Act
- Indian Post Office Act 2023 replaces Indian Post Office Act 1898.
