The birth of modern chemistry can arguably be traced back to early 18th century England where Isaac Newton, Robert Boyle, Antoine Lavoisier, Joseph Priestley, Johann Friedrich Blumenbach, John Dalton, Justus Liebig, Jean Baptiste Dumas, Hermann von Helmholtz contributed immensely towards our current understanding of this subject.
