  • 3 types of Information Disorder:

    • Disinformation: deliberately created false information intended to harm
    • Mal-information: reality-based information used to inflict harm

Philippines' Anti-Fake News Bill

  • Filed in July 2019 by Senate President Vicente Sotto III
  • Prohibits the publication and proliferation of false content on the Philippine Internet
  • Penalties: imprisonment of at least 12 years, fine of up to 2 million pesos
