  • Ears help us to hear the sounds around us.

Tongue

  • The tongue helps us to taste, chew, and swallow food.
  • The tongue also aids in speech.
  • There are five common tastes: sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami (pronounced "oo-mommy").
