Human rights and freedoms have become increasingly important, especially in the current circumstances, as they have begun to take on a comprehensive philosophical dimension, aiming to occupy the place of dominant ideologies at both internal and external levels.
The evaluation of a country's or institution's activities is now done by assessing their stance on human rights.
Although significant progress has been made in advancing human rights at the legal and institutional levels, it has not been accompanied by a corresponding transformation in reality, and the actual situation of individuals and groups still falls short of the lofty ideals proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The Concept of a Right in Islamic Law
