Learning Resources and Teaching Methods
- Textbook: The textbook is recommended for a good introduction to Human Development.
- Class Readings: Readings for each lecture are listed on the syllabus, complete readings before each lecture.
- In-Class Exercises/Presentations: Students will be divided into groups for presentations on assigned topics. This is intended to facilitate active participation, information sharing, and learning from peers.
- Attendance: Attendance is mandatory for all class sessions.
Grading Policy
- Group Presentation (30%): Each group will present for 30 minutes (with a 5-minute variation allowed) on their assigned topic. Each group member will write a 3-page paper on the presentation topic.
- Midterm Exam (25%): Covers material from the textbook and lectures.
- Final Exam (25%): Covers material from the textbook and lectures.
- Class Participation & Attendance (20%): Active participation and consistent attendance are expected.
