  • All personnel assigned to wear, use, maintain, store, or release recordings captured by a BWC must receive training in the agency's policies and procedures.
  • The BWC Coordinator, under the direction of the Chief of Police, is responsible for managing BWC data and setting user and group authority levels.
  • The BWC/Fleet Coordinator, a civilian position, is responsible for assisting the BWC Coordinator with managing BWC data and setting user and group authority levels.
  • Task force officers must follow the BWC terms of any contract or memorandum of understanding agreed upon and executed by both agencies.
  • All BWC recordings are official records and the exclusive property of the Port St. Lucie Police Department.
  • Retention and release of BWC recordings are governed by Florida State Statutes Public Records laws.
