Overview of the International Cricket Council (ICC)

The ICC was initially based in Lord's Cricket Ground and then moved to Monaco before settling in Dubai in 2005.
It was established to protect cricket's revenues by creating a company, ICC Development (International) Pvt. Ltd, known as IDI, outside the UK.
Revenues available to international cricket and ICC member countries rose substantially from 2001 to 2008, leading to a growth in the number of commercial staff employed by IDI in Monaco.
The ICC operates three panels of umpires: the Elite Panel, the International Panel, and the Associates and Affiliates Panel.
