Camp Green Lake

Camp Green Lake, the setting of Louis Sachar's novel by the same name, is a place where boys are sent when they misbehave. Stanley Yelnats

Cursed Family

The Yelnats family is considered cursed. Stanley's grandfather and father were both sent to Camp Green Lake, and Stanley himself is sent there for a crime he did not commit. The curse is believed to have been started by Madame Zara, a fortune teller who made a prediction about the family and has caused misfortune for them ever since. Friendship
