Hectic Fever
- Characterized by intermittent fever with a wide temperature range.
- Accompanied by facial flushing, sweating, and rigors.
- Caused by active TB, amoebic liver abscess, or pyogenic abscess.
Remittent Fever
- Fever that decreases every day but doesn't completely resolve.
- Temperature shows considerable variation between morning and evening (fluctuation more than 1°C) but never returns to normal.
- Causes include:
- Septic conditions
