Tension Headache

  • Bilateral pressure at the base of the skull
  • Constant, squeezing tightness
  • Cycles for many years

Migraine Headache

  • Unilateral, radiating up or down from one eye
  • Cheeks, nose, and jaw
  • Throbbing, synchronous with pulse

  • May have months or years between attacks.
  • Attacks occur in clusters over a period of 2–12 weeks
