Gulliver's Voyage
- Gulliver, a ship's doctor, took a job on a ship that was going on a long voyage.
- The ship was caught in a violent storm, hit a rock, and broke up completely.
- Gulliver and five other crew members escaped in a small boat, but were overturned by a big wave.
- Gulliver swam to land and found himself on a strange and lonely coast.
Meeting the Lilliputians
- Gulliver was captured by tiny humans, called Lilliputians, who were only six inches high.
- He was tied down with slender strings and pegs fixed to the ground.
- The Lilliputians built a stage to Gulliver's side, and an important person gave a ten-minute speech in an unknown language.

- Gulliver signaled for food and drink, and the Lilliputians brought baskets of meat and loaves of bread.
