- Green Hydrogen value chain standards are categorized into four areas:
- Production
- Storage and transportation
- End-use applications
- General safety
- Current status: 87 standards adopted or developed; 59 under development in India.
- 52 global standards available for potential adoption.
- No existing Indian or international standards for three components.
- Five key entities involved in standard development:
- Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

- Prior to the NGHM launch, 53 standards were issued, with 34 new ones established in 14 months.
