Groups in Clause Structure

  • A group is an item or a collection of items that function together as an element of clause structure

Types of Groups

  • Nominal Group (NG): functions as Subject, Object, Complement, and sometimes Adjunct
  • Verbal Group (VG): functions as Predicator
