Self-Learning Module (SLM)

• The SLM is an initiative by the Schools Division of Calamba City to promote learning.

Pivot 4 A IDEA Model

• The Pivot 4 A IDEA Model consists of four stages: Description, Engagement, Assimilation, and Application.

Engagement Part

• The purpose of the Engagement part is to interact with the learning material.

Assimilation Part

• The main objective of the Assimilation part is to understand and internalize the learning material.

Teacher's Role

• In the Description part of the Learning Module, the teacher's role is to provide a clear and concise explanation of the learning material.

Republic Act 8293, Section 176

• The purpose of Republic Act 8293, Section 176 is to protect intellectual property rights.

Use of Government Works

• Seeking permission from the government agency or office is necessary before using government works to avoid copyright infringement.
• The significance of seeking permission is to ensure that the use of government works is legal and ethical.

Ownership of Borrowed Materials

• The ownership of borrowed materials in the self-learning module remains with the original creator or owner.

Exploitation of Government Works

• A government agency may impose conditions for the exploitation of its work for profit, such as requiring permission or payment of royalties.

Using Government Works for Profit

• Before using a work created by a government agency for profit, one should obtain the necessary permission or license and comply with the imposed conditions.
