    • In Photoshop, create a new 1280x1024 pumpkin wallpaper.

    • Type in 100 dpi.

    • Fill the new file with black color, using the Paint Bucket Tool.

    • Find an Internet picture of a pumpkin isolated on its own.

    • To remove the white background we can click on the Magic Eraser tool then the white background.

    • If you want to resize your pumpkin you can press CTRL+T for transform, then use the corner sizing handles to resize your pumpkin image.

    • Now we want to start adding our glow under the pumpkin.

    • Click on the pumpkin layer then click on the “Add a layer style” button and choose “Inner Glow.”

    • Match the settings you see to the side.

    • The color glow should be black.

    • I resized the mouth using CTRL-T and the sizing handles on the edges.

    • Now you will add a glow to each of the parts on the face.

    • I will show you what options to use for each layer style then I will show you how to apply the same settings to the other parts of the face.

    • We will start with the nose.

    • Copy the settings you see in the image below, then change the “Blend Mode” to “Color Dodge” and the “Opacity” to 50%.

    • Change the “Elements” box to 16.

    • Now you will set the layer styles for the “Inner Glow.”

    • Copy the settings you see in the image below, then change the “Blend Mode” to “Soft Light” and the “Opacity” to 50%.

    • Change the “Elements” box to 128.

    • Click on the “Save” button.

    • Your pumpkin wallpaper is now finished.

    • To create a pumpkin, start by drawing a basic shape on a layer, then add a gradient overlay and layer styles.
