Genetics is the branch of science concerned with the transmission and expression of traits over generations through various genetic processes. It studies the structures inside the cell, such as mitochondria, nucleus, and chloroplasts, and examines the processes of life, like growth and reproduction. At its core, cell biology investigates the relationship between the structure of cells and their function.
