Noun Phrases

Noun phrases help bring context, detail and nuance to sentences through the inclusion of additional descriptive words or clauses. These groups of words function like miniature sentences within larger ones. For example "the tall, slender oak tree behind my house," forms a noun phrase that specifies the type of tree being described.

Pronouns

Pronouns take center stage when referring back to previous people, things, and ideas mentioned in a text. They act as placeholders that direct readers' attention elsewhere in the conversation. Examples include he, she, they, it, and others!

Articles
