Water Heaters

  • When installing an electric water heater in a sealed crawl space, a plastic high impact resistant pan of at least 1/4 inch in thickness shall be installed.
  • When installing a gas-fired water heater, the gas valve shall be located in the same room as the water heater and within 15 feet of the water heater.

Building Sewers

  • Building sewers that connect to a private sewage disposal system shall not be less than 12 inches below the finished grade.
  • Building sewers 8 inches and larger shall have a manhole located not more than 300 feet from the junction of the building drain and the building sewer.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors
