This means that if one object exerts a force upon another object, the second object will also exert an equal and opposite force back onto the first one. For example, when you push a cart forward, it pushes back on you with the same amount of force. This is because forces always act between two objects and never exist independently of other objects.
Newton's Laws of Motion
Isaac Newton formulated three laws that describe and govern how things move:
