Game Overview

  • Each game has 11 players on the field.
  • The objective is to score more points than the opposing team.

Scoring Points

  • There are 5 ways to score points:
    • Touchdown: 6 points
    • Field goal: 3 points
    • Extra kick: 1 point
    • Extra run/pass: 2 points
    • Safety: 2 points
  • A safety is scored by the defense and helps them.

Game Play

  • The ball is thrown to score a point in the opposing team's endzone.
  • There are 3 ways to advance the ball:
    • Pass
    • Handoff
    • Carry
  • Each team has 4 chances to move the ball 10 yards.

Game Structure

  • A game is divided into 2 halves of 30 minutes each.
  • If a team crosses 10 yards before using up all their tries, their tries go back to 4.
  • If a team fails to cross 10 yards within 4 tries, the ball is given to the opposing team.
  • The halftime interval is 12 minutes.
  • If the score is tied at the end of the game, there is a 15-minute sudden death.

Game Rules

  • Each team has 3 timeouts in each half.
  • The playing area is 100 yards long and 160 yards wide.
  • There are 2 touchdown areas, each 20 yards long.
  • Interval lines are marked every 10 yards.

Game Start

  • The team that starts the game is decided by a coin flip.
  • The game starts with a kickoff, where the team decided to start runs with the ball as far as possible to the opposing team's touchdown area.
