Fireground Communications
- Fireground radio talkgroups are assigned for different communication needs.
- B# IC talkgroup is used for initial company responses, assigning companies, non-critical communication between Fire Alarm Office and Command Post, and communication between the Incident Commander and other personnel.
- B# FG talkgroup is used for first arriving company's initial report, "on scene" calls by first arriving Units, first arriving Battalion Chief's "C-A-N Report", fireground communications for first alarm companies, and "STAY" calls during firefighter rescue.
- BN# TAC talkgroup is used for first alarm fire companies assigned to Divisions or Groups, and for multi-alarm fire companies assigned within the expanded incident command system.
- BN# EMS talkgroup is used if an EMS Group or Branch is established.
- BN# STG talkgroup is used for multi-alarm companies communicating at the Level II Staging Area, and communications between the Fire Alarm Office and the Staging Area Manager.
