Training Program Structure
- The Training Support Division (TSD) ensures that responsible parties contact Shift Commanders one week prior to scheduled training to answer questions and aid in coordination.
- The TSD also assures that the Training Committee attends training committee meetings, reviews reports and records, and evaluates program progress.
Training Committee
- Each shift has three members, with a minimum of one Company Officer and one Firefighter.
- Committee members act as ambassadors to their shifts and review program progress.
- One Battalion Chief represents the Battalion Chiefs quarterly to offer input and direction on department training needs.
Battalion Chiefs / Shift Commanders
- Battalion Chiefs represent the Battalion Chiefs quarterly to offer input and direction on department training needs.
- Shift Commanders administer and monitor the department training plan within their assigned shift.
- Shift Commanders assist in coordinating, presenting, and evaluating department-level training sessions.
Company Officers / Firefighters Working out of Classification (WOC)

- Recordkeeping, including hours of attendance, participation, and individual certification, is the responsibility of team leaders.
